National Film Board Agreement Ratification
Dear Members:
We are pleased to inform you that we have negotiated a three (3) year Agreement with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). Our negotiating team unanimously recommends the ratification of the negotiated improvements summarized below.
Term: 3 years - June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2029
Fees: The existing fees will be increased as follows;
June 15, 2026 5%
June 15, 2027 3%
June 15, 2028 2%
Pension: June 15, 2026 12.5%
In addition to wage increases, the Agreement now includes Grievance and Arbitration language, Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) protections, reclarification of sideling work and the addition of reuse provisions.
There are minor changes of a housekeeping nature, including the Temporary Membership Permit language (Schedule H) and the contract form (Appendix A).

Votes must be submitted by 11:00 P.M. ET, Monday, June 8, 2026. Eligible voters have been sent an email through Election Buddy, which contains the ballot.
